Peak District 360° About Us and the Project
The Peak District National Park is an upland area in central and northern England, lying mainly in northern Derbyshire, but also covering parts of Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, and South and West Yorkshire. As such, there are many towns and villages to explore and attractions to visit. With this in mind I set out to map the Peak District National Park in photographs, 360° interactive images, and accompanying useful information. This is a huge task and the website will grow and grow over time.
Peak District 360° is a long term project with the eventual aim of making a website that is an authority on the many regions of the Peak District National Park, becoming an excellent one-stop point for information if you will.
HighPointPhotos.co.uk - High Point Photography services is our Mast Photography business, which is also known as Ground Based Aerial Photography, or Telescopic Pole Photography or Elevated Photography. The method captures images from a "birds eye view" via a camera mounted to the mast, operated via a laptop at the base of the mast. An elevation of up to 50 feet gives far superior results than aircraft photography, mast photography is static and overall will give more detail, AND, it can be done at a fraction of the cost.
